MYSTERY IN ALGONQUIN PARK
Book 1 of The Jayme Adventure Series

For Jayme Goodall, this summer at Camp Frabourin on Canoe Lake, Ontario, could be her last chance to experience the pleasures of her youth.
Yet, as she seeks to enjoy the lake's tranquil beauty, she stumbles upon a mystery that ripples back through time and connects her life to that of Binnie, a young woman who lived on the lake 100 years earlier,
While Jayme and Binnie peel back layers of secrets and intrigue in parallel storylines, they discover that the lake holds more than just summer memories. It conceals a truth that could change everything.

BUOYANT PASSAGES
The Story of My Family, My Life as an Identical Twin, and My Escapes into the Canadian Wilderness

What started as a short account of author Daniel J. Demers’ ancestors, including their arrival in Canada and the many challenges they faced while striving to establish a life here, soon morphed into a memoir of the author’s own life as well.

While the book still begins by recounting his family’s history before and after their arrival in Canada, the bulk of it focuses on Daniel’s own life experiences, particularly his unique role as an identical twin and the many adventures he’s had while exploring Canada’s natural wonders. As a result, this memoir winds up being a celebration not only of his family’s history but also of the limitless options for escape, adventure, and discovery that Canada has to offer.

REVIEWS

"I enjoyed this memoir that is of real people and real lives.
A dip into Canadiana with many short stories that are easy to read.
The author paints a vivid picture of family, their hard work, love,
and optimism for their descendants by instilling good values and strong bonds.
Well done!"

"I'm giving it a 4.5 stars. This is a memoir/reflection on life as well as the author's and his wife's family history.
I enjoyed how the author related his family's history to the life he chose for himself and how is life choices
are rooted in that history. There are many mentions of music throughout the book, which I particularly enjoyed
because of my own love of music. It'd be nice if the author added playlists to a future edition.
All in all, it's a feel-good read that serves to remind you that we should cherish the blessings life has bestowed on us.
